This process map is a template for a comprehensive energy management scheme. It shows all the management processes that you ought to have in place, with necessary resources on the left and outcomes and benefits on the right.

It’s a good starting point for a gap analysis and better than a management-systems standard like ISO50001 because it shows how the various elements interact and what is lost if things are missing.
